Vader Broke His iPhone Too
I found this elsewhere and modded it a little. It’s fitting for the last few posts.

Why should you? Ok, I’m not going to make you. You might not even know how. It really helps keep your mail organized though.
As an Apple Mail user and a former Entourage user I find myself wanting to highlight emails, or color code them, just like you can do in Entourage and Outlook for PCs. Like this:

Wait a minute… That is Apple Mail! Here’s how to do it:
1) Click on the email to color code
2) Hit Command Shift C
3) Choose what color your want
4) You’re done and can feel like a stallion for organizing
You can make Apple Mail automagically color code mail from say, your wife - but we’ll save that one for another post.
Executing these keystrokes is not hard to get used to at all. After you practice a little bit, use them everyday, you’ll find you don’t even have to think about the keystrokes.
It’s really nice to have the ability to color code your emails and is a great way to keep organized. You can color code emails you need to read over again, emails for things you want to purchase, emails for future tasks, the list goes on and on. Enjoy.
Some people want to know how I broke my iphone. I made a nice little docudrama recreation of the event especially for you - Yes you.
What a sad day this is.

You take great care whenever you set your iPhone down on the coffee table, placing it on top of something to avoid any tasty beverage being spilled on it. You were even an early adopter.
Then it happens. The unthinkable.
Well what are you supposed to do now?
The good news is that you can get it fixed. Try taking a look at pdaparts.com and look at the iPhone screen replacement. But wait a minute…. It’s a kit to do it myself? (jaw drops) Don’t forget to buy the tool and watch the cool YouTube Video. I love the quote “This is one of the hardest repairs we have ever seen. You’re doing this repair at your own risk” on their site. Lovely.
It appears that Apple has released a way for third part vendors to fix a cracked screen by making available the screen with the lcd and digitizer…whatever that is. So - you can’t just get a new screen and go on with your life. Every where I have seen it looks like you will pay around $150-$200, but many places are sold out.
If you have the heart for it then spend $5 to fix it, that’s right $5. Go read about it and embrace it. .
Lastly - If you have broken your iPhone screen send me a pic of it and I’ll put it in a Gallery of Negligence. I’ll keep you updated on how I fix my poor little precious iPhone.
